Oooh... blogger has new features... interesting.
My jaw is still in post-surgery pain. It really hurts. =( A recent study shows that females have a higher tolerance of pain than males, I guess because of estrogen. Explains why we guys are such babies. Bah, babies shmabies... it doesn't matter... it hurts!

What is involved in the extraction procedure of wisdom teeth?
Most patients choose to be put to sleep before the surgeon begins working with a scalpel and drill.
The surgeon peels the presiding gum tissue away from the bone, gently detaches connective tissue, then removes bone fragments from around the tooth. In some cases, the tooth is purposely broken or sectioned and then removed from the socket. Then loose or infected tissue is removed and the area is irrigated. Gauze is used to control bleeding. The opening in the gumline is then sutured and the patient may get one or more stitches.
After the procedure, patients are advised to take a narcotic, such as Percocet or hydrocodone, to manage their pain.

Yikes!!! And I'm getting 4 of them extracted today!
