I went to the Mondavi Center 2 nights ago and attended the "Murder By Poe" play, which was a collection of Edgar Allan Poe's popular works on stage. It was really creepy and funny at the same time. Even though I sat in the Grand Tier Section, I could clearly see and hear all that was going on and it was awesome. It was my second time ever attending a theatrical performance. I love being able to dress up for a show... soo cool. Paul was funny because he wore a nice green shirt with maron slacks, a rouge tie and a blue coat but he lost one of his dress shoes and ended up sporting his chucks. He looked like a little kid trying to dress up... hilarious.
There are these cool scenes in the play where the actors do a little rhythmic synchronized turning action on the steps of the stage... Aubree & I were like, "whoaaa" so that night, we went crazy in the stairwell attempting to reenact the steps. If you hear about The Acting Company performing "Murder By Poe" at a theatre near you, I highly recommend that you go... it was worth it (at least for me; i got a good deal on the $32 tickets... only paid $17.50).
I'm sorry Lisa if you wanted to go... i really am. I have an excuse though... i think.

A lot happened in the past few days... sortof. Last night, I went with Andie, Pilar, & Seun to the Newman Center to pray all four decades of the rosary. It lasted almost 2 hours. I've never prayed soo many beads before. I can't wait till Easter Sunday- I'm gonna go to Easter Mass, then to a BBQ at Oxford Circle Park with my Hamm House peeps. It's gonna be yummy and oodles of fun. Next week, I'm thinking about Sacramento or some other place out of Davis.
Tomorrow though, it's gonna be some hardcore studying followed by some hardcore fun. I found that keeping my schedule full of activities not only keeps me occupied but has soo many other advantages. When I'm not studyizing, I'm funning... no more complaints about boredom and aloneliness. I think that's what most people could use... I love planning things and having the feeling of ALWAYS looking forward to something. It gets me through hard work easier and knowing that the best is yet to come is an awesome knowledge indeed. Also, since I wake up at 9 everyday, my days are longer, the Springtime is more beautiful, and I feel soooo ALIVE!

whoa, i don't know if this is quite the appropriate post for Good Friday.

There are some people that I wish I could talk to more... you know, to get to know better. But I guess we all just clique with some people and not with others. There are some people I totally don't talk with and they aren't necessarily bad people. We just don't clique. In the dorms for example, it's like, I don't know what to say with some people.

-So I'm walking down the halls, and spot so&so approaching from the other way. Knowing fully that i do not ever talk to that person for some reason, i figure that i'll try and start something...
-I say: hi there _______!
-They say: oh, hey ben. how r u?
-Knowing full well that i have 112pps to read that night, my best friend back home is moving away, & i have a gigantic bruise on my foot, I say: oh, i'm fine thanks, you?
-Knowing full well that they just broke up with their bf/gf, have a term paper due at 8am the next day, and suffer from a fever, they say: i'm fine too, thanks.
---short awkward silence---
-Then I break the silence by saying: that's good.
-They respond: yeah
--- again, another silence but this time, with exaggerated nods and awkward smiles on our faces ---
-And then somebody asks the inevitable question: so... how are your classes?
-Likewise, the inevitable Response: they're good.
-Other response: yeah, mine are good too.
-Next question: what classes are you taking this quarter?
-Response: umm, i'm taking fkdb07, dfka12, skfh32
-Of course, the other person probably didn't really care about what they were saying. Nevertheless, they go on to ask: and you, what classes are you taking?
-Response: ummm, ejba47, dskf21, afhd12
I say: that's nice.
They say: yeah.
They say: well I better get started on some homework, c ya [that last bit is probably a lie]
I say: alright, talk to you later [that last bit is even more of a lie than "c ya"]

And that my friends, was another conversation... more 'con' than 'versation', really. I suppose I ought to begin with various other opening questions. Conversations are like fires that need to be fed in order to stay alive. Sometimes, the problem is just bad kindling.

This is a really weird post. I have no idea why I even blogged it. I need to go talk to somebody... bbl.
