What a heckuvan eventful weekend. On Friday, I went to the Mondavi Centre and met the REAL Sister Helen Prejean from the movie, "Dead Man Walking". She was the spiritual advisor to a Louisiana death row inmate and now speaks out against the death penalty. I always knew there was something wrong with capital punishment and now I understand why. So anyway, Friday night, I scored an extra free ticket to Prejean's Mondavi Center lecture. So I took Andie along. Let me tell you, Prejean really knows how to speak. really funny. really touching. She's not your average nun.
After the Prejean lecture, we went to the Tercero Kareoke night where I was forced to play Backstreet boy. Fun stuff. I stole like, 10 bagels from the event. eating one right now, in fact.
On Saturday, I went to Relay for Life and that lasted until this morning (10AM Sat - 10AM Sun). I am still tired. Even though I took a 6-hour nap when I got back, Im-a-pooped still. My ankles hurt and I'm still allergic to something.
Still, the events of this weekend, I would (and could) never trade for anything else. Got to bond with people. Talking throughout the Relay for Life event really allowed me to get to know some people a little better. It's a nice feeling getting to know people. I just wish that I weren't so shy or judgemental.
Review: overall good weekend, can't wait till next weekend.

I'm a-pooped. I got 1.12 hours of sleep within the last 24 hours. But I think it was worth it. Just got back from Relay for Life where we had to run/walk around the Toomie field track for 24 hours. Of course, we tooks shifts. It was a scorching day and a frigid night and I just felt dirtay. But I did have a lot of fun. When walking with people for hours, you get to learn a few interesting things about em. With Emil, eveything was pure hilarity. Pork? hahahahaha

Not much has been going on since my last post... I mean, there was Picnic Day last Saturday but its kindof late to be blogging about that now. I got meself involved in a war between the axis of evil and the axis of idiots but that's dying down now. A lot of stuff really does go on in college but then again, not really. I

Power trippy people suck. Or maybe it's just me... I have this bit of a problem with authority. A melancholy at heart. I guess that's why I don't particularly like the police or overbearing professors or boy scouts (well ok, some sheriffs are cool and some professors really know how to teach and there are some scouts i'd get along with). But some people just like to act like they know everything about anything. Yeah, there's a person or two in this dorm like that too.
