Oh man, what a night. The dorms are empty once again as the world has gone to celebrate Memorial Day weekend. Wooohoo! Yesternoon, I tripped with Aubs, Stace, Nic, & Pau to the World Market to look at some future apartment decor, imported sweets, and hairy little llamas. That market has the most interesting randoum stuff- signs like "Fried Chicken Dinner" and "Long Life Noodle Shop"; aminals figure items like a 'snail wine rack' and a 'monkey see, monkey do incense burner'; edibles and drinkables like choclate soda and mayonnaise chicken. (Actually, leave it to Aubs to come up with that last one.. or the Hungarians rather.)
After tripping to Cost Plus, an idea struck us in the head. We ran upstairs to our rooms, raped and pillaged our beds, then rode the mattresses down the stairwell. Weee!! After bringing our mattresses and blankets to the morgue(downstairs library), we established Fort Banana. It was more of a tent, really... or for Seun, a hideout, but whatever... IT WAS AWESOME. We watched "Monty Python & the Holy Grail", then played some overly-trivial Trivial Pursuit. The adventure continued even beyond 5:32am when our sentry fell asleep.
So there we were, all six of us in the wee hours of the morning- this is our log.
5:32am: silence. Seventh hour in the tent and all was well.
5:47am: Got up and took a randoum picture of my sleepyhead companions.
6:32am: a few grunts here and there and then some unconscious conversations between sleep talkers (me, being one of them).
7:32am: snores. I freaked myself out everytime I woke up to find huge eyes staring at me- Seun's giant stuffed frog.
8:32am: I woke up to find Aubs, 5 inches from my face. Quite the surprise. So I slept on her arm to get back at her.
8:47am: That got a little uncomfortable after she elbowed me, so I slept on Seun's arm.
9:12am: silence. Eleventh hour in the tent and all was well.
I hadn't built a fort since I was young with my brother. I built some beauts back in the day. It was soo much fun... I can't wait till we can do this again on the last day of skool. I'd have to agree with Pau that it can be a lot funner sometimes when there is less people in the building. I think it's a wonderful opportunity to get closer to the few that are there and really make more intimate memories.
Tonight's plan: we shall see.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everybody!

It is very beautiful outside. I love the scent of summer evening rain. I would love to be out taking a stroll while soft droplets of cool rain sprinkle down on my face, my arms, my tongue. Refreshing. Relaxing. Wash away my worries.
Stall number two in the men's restroom. As I sat on the porcelain throne one night, I thought long about a vandal prophet's words inscribed on the door in front of me. It made me realize how much of a slave I've been to my desires. Is it better to be content with a bronze or should I go for the gold? A man's gotta know his limits but what if they are endless?
And ~. What about the desire to ~? to be ~d? I miss what I never had.
Now to Olson 158. Empty classroom. 10:27pm. The musk of dust and the sour scent of solvent have scratched my sinuses. I picked up a white stick and wrote a quote on the surface of the fourth blackboard. Then I removed all but one chalk stick to be used by some poor professor. I dislike the coarse texture of chalkdust on my fingers. Sometimes I fear it would get under the fingernails and irritate the sensitive flesh. Other times, I worry that breathing deeply would cause a clog in the throat. Painful.
Life is a tragic comedy. It humours and hurts.
